Run out of exfoliator? No problem!
If you're staring at an empty bottle of exfoliator in dismay, never fear! A trusty washcloth can act as stand-in until you can replenish your supply. Be sure to have a clean, nubby terry facecloth on hand and buff lightly (don't rub!) to remove dead surface skin cells for that healthy glow.
Exfoliating: not just for the face!
Often we become so wrapped up in our facial skincare routine that other parts of the body can get neglected. All our skin can benefit from occasional exfoliation to look its best. Before bathing, use a natural bristle brush with a long handle to brush all areas of the skin (while dry). Use a gentle circular motion, always brushing towards the heart to promote circulation and skin turnover.
Portable help to banish shine!
A great tool that beauty experts are sure to have on hand at all times is a pack of blotting papers or rice papers. These are perfect for battling midday shine resulting from overactive oil glands (especially in the T zone - forehead, nose and chin). Simply blot over affected areas, leaving skin matte and shine-free.
Making gloss last!
Do you find that you're applying lip gloss every 20 minutes? Newsflash: you CAN make that gloss stick around. Start with a lip pencil that matches your natural lip color, then apply a layer of waxy lip balm such as Chap Stick (which forms a smooth, water-resistant base). Proceed with a dab of your favorite gloss and smile away!
Concealing the truth! All concealers are not created equal! Choose the right product for the job: thinner concealers are best for blending away undereye circles and thicker, paste concealers work best on blemishes.
Blushing beauty You're seeing it everywhere: barefaced beauties are all over the magazine covers and prancing down the runways. Before you dump the contents of your makeup bag, know that the "natural look" requires more makeup than you may realize and the trick that keeps that flawless look from looking falling flat? A great blush! Nothing makes a woman look fresher and more radiant than a gorgeous, rosy flush. So smile ladies and apply a sweep of blush to the apples of your cheeks (and don't forget to blend!).
For eyes that pop try white eyeliner!
Here's a quick and easy trick to make your eyes stand out:Try applying white eyeliner around the inner lash line. This will make your eyes appear larger and help you achieve a more bright andradiant finish to your eye makeup application. We're all looking for ways to save time and effort in the morning. So when you can eliminate a step in your makeup routine and still look great, it's always a bonus! When applying mascara, place the brush as close to the base of your lashes as possible and wiggle the wand slightly to deposit extra product. The extra mascara will give you the look of eyeliner while saving you the time and effort needed to apply it separately.
